| We began our trip down to TBHL III by way of Lake Tahoe.
Walt Bilofsky was able to locate a great deal on rooms at Harvey's for
our Tuesday night stay. |

The group got an early start down to Death Valley the next
morning. The five of us met for breakfast at the buffet and then headed
out. The first stop was the gas station on the way to highway 88. The
caravan consisted of Walt Bilofsky & Nancy, Janis & Tom Morris,
and Kevin Christiansen.

The drive south to Death Valley started out by heading on down highway
88. This leg of the trip was relatively short. Walt & Nancy took the
lead in their '98 Boxster followed by Kevin in his S. Tom & Janis
followed the two Boxsters in a Yukon XL since Tom's Met Black S still
hasn't arrived. |

The drive down highway 395 proved quite scenic this time of year. If
you have the time to spend you may find this trip more enjoyable than
driving to Las Vegas in a single day. |

The caravan stopped briefly at Mono Lake. While there I
experimented with the panorama mode of the Canon S10. I need
some more practice as the seams are still visible. |
